Manipulating Data To Aid Interpretation

Sahrawi resistance, pacifism

The exiled Sahrawi camps, 20 to 30 tents and settled outside the city of Boujdour and Smara employed were violently dispersed by repeated interventions by the Moroccan police.
The encampment of forty tents set up near the Port of El Aaiun resists, but the Sahrawi are prevented from joining.

Camps located 25 kilometers from El Aaiun (occupied territories of Western Sahara) are organized very effectively by Sahrawi youth.
According to a census taken Oct. 19, 2200 tents were pitched. Families and young people come every day and every night despite the police checkpoints. The estimate is now more than 4,000 tents.

The violent attacks by security forces against the regular Moroccan Sahrawi who want access to the camps to bring water and supplies, or lead to new exiles. Attacks with stones against the cars, arrests and abductions for beatings, shooting live ammunition, were injured yesterday about forty, including women children and the elderly. This does not prevent
Saharawi again as soon as they can by another track, and sometimes having organized convoy. See photos and video. http://apsophotos.blogspot.com http://apsoinfo.blogspot.com/2010/10/les-exiles-sahraouis-sur-leurs-terres.html

The committee camp organization, composed of young Saharawi unemployed graduates for many, includes a protection group watching over the 24 settlements of 24, an information group and organizational consultations, a group committed to the organization the distribution of water.
lacks on-site health care personnel. Indeed, there is no young Saharawi doctors in El Aaiun.

demonstrations and provocations of the Moroccan forces, military trucks, the barriers that surround the camps, helicopters, aircraft, demolition of all types of violence belie the words of the Moroccan minister of information. It said about the camps they were the expression of normal social and economic demands, and added: "We support the legitimate demands". http://www.map.ma/fr/sections/accueil/m._naciri___le_dress/view

After a meeting of the Organising Committee camps with the Moroccan authorities, it appears that the claims of the Sahrawi have thus chosen to exile in their own land outside of their city are not occupied or more of 'socio-economic. At the requirement of the authorities to an accurate census of the camps and accurate identification of participants eligible for employment or other benefit, the Saharawi exiles said they claimed the application of international law to self-determination their people on their land and natural resources, and nothing else. It would be good because that Morocco respects its commitments before the international community and supports the claims by the Saharawi establishment of self-determination referendum with independence or attachment choices.

Moroccan usual strategy is to break the protest movements by promises seems to have fizzled. Especially as well consider these promises of employment or other ever held, were expensive to the Saharawi people who had to provide each time photocopies of diplomas and duly authenticated identity (cons payment with the Moroccan authorities ...) .
